New Certified Tourism Ambassadors

Thirty-six individuals finished off 2014 by completing the Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) Program offered through the Door County Visitor Bureau. Graduates of the program learned about local history, area attractions, useful resources and customer service. The final two classes of 2014 were held at the Bridgeport Waterfront Resort in November and The Clearing Folk School in December. “When people travel, typically the most memorable experiences we have involve the people we meet,” explained Christine Salmon, CTA Program Coordinator, “Door County has everything a traveler wants, especially our CTA-trained, friendly, knowledgeable tourism volunteers and employees.” Since the program’s inception in Door County in 2009, more than 660 volunteers and employees have become certified.
