NEXT UP FOR MIDSUMMER’S MUSIC

Midsummer’s Music seeks to present works by both lesser-known and widely recognized composers, and such is the case with the Mozart and Healy concerts that begin July 1.

This program features Mozart’s Trio in E-flat Major, “Kegelstatt,” K.498; and his Piano Concerto No. 14 in E-flat Major, K.449, along with Trio for Clarinet, Violin and Piano by Midsummer’s Music’s 2021 composer-in-residence, Will Healy.

This program will be performed July 1, 7 pm, at Björklunden in Baileys Harbor; July 2, 7 pm, at the Kress Pavilion in Egg Harbor; July 3, 3 pm, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Sister Bay; and July 5, 7 pm, at Hope United Church of Christ in Sturgeon Bay.

Healy will also lead a Coffee Talk event – free, informal presentations on music topics by ensemble members, staff and friends – on July 2, 2 pm, at the Kress Pavilion, 7845 Church St. in Egg Harbor.

The fifth program of the season will showcase Paul Wranitzky’s Sextet in E-flat Major; Mozart’s Quartet in F Major, K.E., 368b; and Bernhard Molique’s Quintet in D Major, Op. 35.

Those concerts will be July 7, 7 pm, at the Kress Pavilion in Egg Harbor; July 8, 7 pm, at First Baptist Church in Sister Bay; July 9, 7 pm, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Sister Bay; and July 10, 5 pm, at Woodwalk Gallery in Egg Harbor.
