Northern Sky, Maritime Museum Distribute Free Tickets to All Door County Students

Northern Sky Theater and the Door County Maritime Museum are inviting all Door County students to a complimentary evening of entertainment under the stars, as well as admission to the Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay.

Nearly 4,000 free ticket coupons will be delivered to every elementary, middle and high school student in all five Door County school districts, as well as area parochial and homeschooled students. This year’s coupon includes an opportunity to see Northern Sky’s premiere of The Fish Whisperer and the return of Cheeseheads! The Musical at its Peninsula State Park amphitheater. Students will also be able to use their ticket to explore the Door County Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay.

As an added “fun factor,” Northern Sky has created Spirit Week, set for June 26 – July 1. During that week, students and their families are encouraged to celebrate their school spirit by attending on their designated night to see one of their school groups perform on stage before the show. Monday will be Sturgeon Bay Clippers night; Tuesday, Gibraltar Vikings; Wednesday, Sevastopol Pioneers; Thursday, parochial and homeschooled students; Friday, Southern Door Eagles; and Saturday, Washington Island Bucks.

Tickets will be distributed in mid-May and should be in students’ hands by summer vacation or in the school e-newsletter. Parents should check with their school office if they do not receive a ticket. Parents must call Northern Sky at 920.854.6117 or order online at northernskytheater.com to reserve their student’s free seat using the promotion code word found on the coupon.
