Not So Major Of A Snow Storm

Around the Door

But more on the way

Schools were closed and activities canceled on Jan. 9 as Door County braced for a snowstorm. The storm under-delivered – Door County was in the 5-10 inch zone, but topped out at 3 inches, others far less – with rain during a portion of Tuesday foiling some of the snow. What the weather didn’t foil was Marty Rispens’ (above) pursuit of trout at the Sister Bay Marina. More snow was forecast to hit Door County this week – Thursday, Friday and Saturday – before temperatures dive into the frosty territory of 0 degrees F to minus 5, according to the National Weather Service. It took awhile, but hello winter! D.A. Fitzgerald. Photo by Craig Sterrett.
