May 22, 1931 ~ December 17, 2020
Patricia Anne Graham, 89, of Sturgeon Bay, died in her sleep at her home on Thursday, December 17, 2020.
She was born May 22, 1931 in Hollywood, California, daughter of the late Clyde Olyn and Anne Anita (Smith) Phillips. Pat graduated from South Pasadena High School (CA) in 1949 and then attended the University of Redlands (CA), where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in social work in May of 1953. While attending the University of Redlands, Pat met the love of her life, George Andrew Graham Jr. The two were wed in Alhambra, CA on June 19, 1953 and spent 66 years of marriage together before he preceded her in death on July 15, 2019. As an educator, Pat worked in various schools teaching Early Elementary, Kindergarten, and First Grade. She retired from Swallow Elementary in Hartland, WI in 1994. During retirement, George and Pat traveled extensively from their home in Delafield, WI. In 2014, they moved to Door County full time.
Pat had a heart of gold and always wanted to help those who needed it. While living in Delafield, she worked in hospice care. In Sturgeon Bay, she was a member of the PEO Sisterhood and recently started to volunteer at the Door County Medical Center. Pat was also a member of the Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church. She loved her dogs and enjoyed walking them at the Crossroads at Big Creek. She especially loved spending time with her six grandsons who were the light of her life.
Pat will be deeply missed by her children, G. Andrew (Marion) Graham III of San Diego, Ronald Graham of Las Vegas, and Holly (Todd) Meikle of Sturgeon Bay; six grandsons, G. Andrew Graham IV (fiancé, Belma Balic) and Brian Graham, Seamus and Donovan Graham, and Rory and Rex Meikle; brother, Ronald (Thelma) Phillips of Albuquerque; beloved black lab, Bear; and many dear friends.
Donations can be made in her name to the Wisconsin Humane Society Door County Campus and Crossroads at Big Creek.
