Obituary: Robert “Bob” Krause

April 2, 1952 ~ August 5, 2022

Robert “Bob” Clarence Krause, 70, of Sturgeon Bay, died surrounded by love and family on August 5, 2022 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.

Bob was born on April 2, 1952, in Sturgeon Bay.  He graduated from Southern Door High School in 1970.  Bob was a member of the Army National Guard for six years.  He married Sally Krohn on April 20, 1974. 

He worked at Emerson Motor Company (formerly Doerr Electric) and NEW Industries.  In addition, Bob farmed in the Town of Gardner for most of his life.  When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed dartball, hunting, fishing, trap shooting, playing cards, and spending time with family.   

Bob had a talent for fixing things and a way with words.  He will be remembered for his story-telling, funny jokes, and sound advice.   

Bob is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sally; three children, Bobbie Jo (Gregg) Pieschek, Ryan (Amanda) Krause, and Scott (Alayne) Krause; six grandchildren, Tyler Krueger, and Mikayla, Grant, Isaac, Gabriella, and Elijah Pieschek; nine siblings, Nancy (Bill) Fleischman, Jim (Lisa) Krause, Karen (Mike) Kraus, Sandy (Ravi) Tanwar, Don Krause, Joan Franda, Gary Krause, Sue (Tony) Hunsader; brother-in-law Phil Johnson; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Louise Krause; brother Keith Krause; sister Diane Johnson; brother-in-law Randy Franda; sister-in-law Lynn Renard; and father-in-law Clarence Krohn.

His celebration of life will take place on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay.  Bob will be laid to rest at the Holy Name of Mary Cemetery in Maplewood.  Visitation will take place from 9:30-11:30 AM with mass to follow at 11:30 AM.  Forbes Funeral Home is assisting the family.

The family would like to extend its gratitude to the numerous doctors and nurses who cared for Bob over the past 12 years.
