One Dead in Southern Door County Crash

One driver was killed and another injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 57 at South Cloverleaf Road in the Town of Nasewaupee Wednesday.

The Door County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash at 2:46 pm Wednesday, Oct. 23. One driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the other vehicle was air-lifted to a Green Bay hospital with serious injuries.

The Door County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by personnel from the Wisconsin State Patrol traffic crash reconstruction unit.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, speed and alcohol are not believed to be contributing factors in the crash. The name of the victim is not being released pending notification of the next-of-kin.
