Open Door Bird Sanctuary Visits Will In The Woods

Door Shakespeare welcomes Open Door Bird Sanctuary to its Will in the Woods program Aug. 10, 6:30 pm, to present “Birds in Shakespeare and Historic Falconry.”

Shakespeare’s texts mention more than 60 bird species, and such references have inspired bird lovers throughout the centuries. Open Door Bird Sanctuary will provide a demonstration of historic falconry, and Elissa Wolf, Door Shakespeare’s managing director, will lead a discussion about birds in Shakespeare’s plays.

Registration is required for this free program held prior to Door Shakespeare’s production of As You Like It. Tickets to the performance cost $40-$50, and discounts are available for students and children.
