Orv Konop and Jerry Voelker Play Scandia Village for Mind Music Program

Keith and Deanna Clayton, owners of K. Allen Gallery, hosted The Great Glass Escape Sept. 11 & 12, and raised $2,600 for Scandia Village’s Mind Music program. The Claytons donated all funds to launch the program that brings musicians and music programs to Scandia Village to benefit individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia. The first musicians to dazzle the residents were Jerry Voelker (of Jerry Voelker and the Jolly Gents) and Orv Konop (of Orv Konop and the OK Dance Band) on Oct. 20. Musicians of various genres will perform throughout the year entertaining and interacting with the residents.
