P.E.O. Names Star Scholarship Recipient

 The P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) Chapter EE of Egg Harbor has recognized Rachel van Ruiten as a STAR Scholarship recipient. The $2,500 scholarship will go toward her studies at Iowa State to eventually fulfill her dream of becoming a veterinarian. 

The granddaughter of Door County residents Bill and Diane Miller, van Ruiten lives in Plymouth, Michigan, with her parents, Kathleen and Matt van Ruiten. She’s finishing her senior year at Canton High School.
