Pastel Artists Featured at Art League Gallery

The Gallery of the Door County Art League (DCAL) welcomes guest artist Karen DeNoto in August and features Dianne Saron as artist of the week beginning July 31.

DeNoto is an award-winning oil and pastel artist with a love of plein air painting. She is passionate about maritime and water subject matter. She is a native New Englander who has made Door County her home. She spent 20 years in the graphic arts business working with museums, publishers and artists. DeNoto feels “a passion is a gift that demands you to embrace it if you are to find your authenticity and inner joy/peace.” As an artist, DeNoto is always evolving, always searching to tell a story. Saron painted primarily in black and white portraiture until moving to Door County in 2001 when she was drawn to pastels through coursework taken at Peninsula Art School. Her signature pastels show the vivid landscapes and stunning natural scenes of the Door County she loves. She serves on the Peninsula School of Arts Gallery Committee and Program Chair for the Door County Art League. For more information visit inkdroparthaus.com/dianne-saron.
