Pen Players Receive Sustainability Grant

The Peninsula Players recently received a $2,000 Sustainability Grant from the Door County Community Foundation to support “The Play’s The Thing” program.

Working in partnership with local school districts, Lawrence University and Bjِrklunden, the Peninsula Players offered a student play writing contest accompanied by professionally presented readings of plays.

“The arts are central to who we are as a community,” says Bret Bicoy, President & CEO of the Community Foundation. “This terrific program is making the resources of the Peninsula Players accessible to students in our Door County. It’s a wonderfully collaborative project between some of the great institutions of our community.”
