Peninsula Symphonic Band Begins Spring/Summer Rehearsals March 30

The Peninsula Symphonic Band will begin rehearsals for its spring/summer 2020 season on March 30, 7:15 pm, at Sturgeon Bay High School.

Music Director Jason Palmer has chosen some inspiring and challenging selections to play at upcoming concerts. The band will perform a May 18 joint concert with the Algoma Community Band and the Swingin’ Door Big Band in the Sturgeon Bay High School auditorium. It will also perform for the Sturgeon Bay Memorial Day Observance, on July Fourth in Baileys Harbor, and in Sister Bay on a date yet to be determined.

“The Peninsula Symphonic Band is a community band that welcomes high school and adult musicians,” Palmer said “There are no auditions; interested musicians are welcome to just come and enjoy playing.”

The band is seeking instrumentalists in all sections and needs clarinets in particular. To find out more, visit peninsulasymphonicband.org or contact Palmer at [email protected] or 920.559.1006.
