Pioneer Girls Second at Track Quadrangular

Sevastopol’s girls track and field team edged out Gibraltar for second place by a half a point at Tuesday’s quadrangular meet hosted by the Pioneers.

Kewaunee topped the girls team standings with 121 points, followed by Sevastopol (47.5), Gibraltar (47) and Algoma (34.5).

Top finishes for the Pioneers included senior Bea Dramm placing first in both the 800-meter run (2 minutes, 46 seconds) and 1600 run (6:04.19). Caitlyn Hasenjager won the long jump (14 feet). Anna Gallardo-Ibarra, Danica Werkheiser, Shaeffer Rass and Caitlyn Fellner finished first in the 4×100 relay (1:00.92).

Vikings senior McKailey Reisen was a double winner in the 100 hurdles (16.36) and high jump (5-2).

In the boys standings, Kewaunee (162) finished first, followed by Algoma (40), Sevastopol (32) and Gibraltar (28).

Vikings senior Braden Sitte won both the 100 dash (11.56) and 200 dash (24.15).

The only first-place finish for the Pioneer boys was recorded by Jairus Dadam in the pole vault (10-0).
