Pioneer Girls Third at Freedom CC Invite

Sevastopol opened the cross-country season Friday at the Freedom Invite, where the Pioneer girls placed third among the small schools.

Freedom tallied the top team score at 35, followed by Wisconsin Rapids Assumption (72), Sevastoopol (77), St. Mary’s Springs (97), Chilton (98), Peshtigo (138) and Brillion (162).

Assumption sophomore Lucy Dolan finished recorded the top individual time among the small school girls runners in 19 minutes, 24.59 seconds.

Sevastopol’s top finish was recorded by senior Bea Dramm, who placed 10th in 21:37.49. 

The other two Pioneers to finish in the top 20 among all small school runners included junior Naomi Rikkola (12th in 22:00.15) and freshman Shylee Asher (17th in 22:55.45).

Sevastopol seniors Jolene Luedtke (22nd in 23:22.01) and Libby Ash (26th in 23:41.93) rounded out the team’s top five runners.
