Pioneers Beat Blazers in Girls Basketball

Sevastopol’s girls basketball team won its first Packerland Conference game of the new year Saturday at NEW Lutheran, 63-35.

Katie Spude and Naomi Rikkola each scored 19 points to lead the Pioneers, who held a 32-18 advantage at halftime.

Ingrid Beaumont scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Blazers.

Sevastopol, which improved to 10-2 overall and 5-1 in the Packerland, next plays a non-conference game Jan. 15 at Manitowoc Roncalli.
