Pioneers Sweep Non-league Baseball Twin Bill

Sevastopol’s baseball team swept both games of its non-league doubleheader Saturday against St. Thomas Aquinas.

The Pioneers won the first game, 11-0.

Drake Olson recorded the pitching victory, striking out six.

Chase Haberli, Logan Retzlaff, Nick Peterson and Tyler Grooters each recorded two hits for Sevastopol.

The Pioneers won the second game, 13-10.

Haberli picked up the pitching victory in the second game, throwing three scoreless innings.

At the plate for Sevastopol, Grooters batted 2-4 with a triple. Henry Bley was also 2-4 and scored three runs. Mason Bosman was 1-2, while walking twice.

Up next for the Pioneers is a Packerland Conference home doubleheader Monday against Oconto.
