“En plein air” is a French expression that means “in the open air,” and is used to describe the act of painting outdoors. Bay Art Gallery had the pleasure of having five of its artists in the 2014 Door County Plein Air Festival: Debra Joy Groesser, Jason Prigge, Jason Sacran, John P. Lasater IV and Rick Brawner. Sacran won Best of Show with his painting “Door County Relic” and Prigge received the People’s Choice Award with “Restful Morning.”
