Janine Buechner has opened Blue Moon Framery to share her skill, experience and dedication to preservation framing by properly handling, preserving and presenting items new and old: grand paintings, children’s art, and fragile, one-of-a-kind heirlooms.

“I love my job,” Buechner said. “For me, it is the perfect balance of craftsmanship, customer service and art appreciation.”

Buechner became a Master Certified Picture Framer (MCPF) in 2015. She is Door County’s only MCPF and is one of only 100 in the world. In 2018, she earned first place in the Professional Picture Framers Association’s International Open Competition.
