Rock Island Picnic Sets Record

When the Friends of Rock Island (FORI) group hosted its annual summer picnic July 1, the Karfi was kept busy ferrying visitors to and from the state park throughout the day, and many people made the journey in their own boats. They enjoyed food, bought merchandise and participated in a silent auction in the boathouse.

“This was a record-breaking fundraiser, with the highest projected profit in the last several years,” said FORI president Tina Jacoby.
