Run For A Cause With the Door County Half Marathon

The Door County Half Marathon is offering runners a great opportunity to help their favorite area non-profit with each step in the 2011 run in Peninsula State Park.
The organizers of the Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5k are again offering the popular Run for a Cause program. In 2010, the program generated $6,300 for local charities.
Each Run for a Cause participant must raise a minimum of $250 for the Door County charity of their choice. Once that figure is reached, they’ll receive a free entry for the Door County Half Marathon or the Nicolet Bay 5k. Participants are free to raise more than the minimum. The registration deadline for the program is April 1, 2011, though organizers encourage early registration to allow ample time for fundraising and publicity for the chosen non-profit.
