Salvation Army Seeks Bell Ringer Volunteers

The Salvation Army red kettle and ringers will soon be appearing around the county as the kettle campaign begins on Nov. 16. Proceeds from the local kettle campaign stay in Door County and are used to help neighbors in need.

In Door County, The Salvation Army has no paid staff and all individuals are volunteers. The Salvation Army is looking for bell ringers for this fall’s campaign. Shifts are two hours between 9 am – 9 pm in Sturgeon Bay and Northern Door locations.

Youth are encouraged to ring for volunteer hours. Ringers can play Christmas music or a musical instrument, dress in costume or festive attire, and bring a friend.

To volunteer, contact Nancy Calabresa at [email protected] or 920.883.7886. To make a contribution, checks made to The Salvation Army should be sent to Tom Mulinix, 509 W. Walnut Dr., Sturgeon Bay.
