Hope Church Scholar in Residence to Lead Forums and Monologues

The public is invited to attend an hour-long monologue “…And It Came to Pass…” which tells Jesus’ story from baptism to crucifixion at Hope Church, 141 S. 12th Ave., Sturgeon Bay, on May 10 at 7 pm. The performer, Guy Aiken, chose the episodes from the four canonical Gospels and then turned to the original Greek and translated the selected texts himself. Aiken wrote and performed this monologue as his capstone project at Wake Forest University School of Divinity. Guy is writing his dissertation for the PhD in American Religions at the University of Virginia. This event is free. Refreshments and conversation will follow the performance.

While serving as a Scholar in Residence at Hope Church for May, Aiken will lead adult forums related to the life and writings of Thomas Kelly, author of the devotional classic A Testament of Devotion on May 8, 15 & 29. The public is welcome to attend these forums scheduled for Sundays at 9 am at Hope Church.
