She Served, He Served Dinner Thanks Veterans

Door County Habitat for Humanity (DCHH) is hosting a She Served, He Served dinner to recognize and thank area veterans from all branches of military service as part of She Served: a Habitat for Humanity Wisconsin grant-program initiative to build, educate, employ, engage and honor women veterans during She Served Week, Sept. 19-25.

DCHH is honoring veterans through a dinner Thursday, Sept. 23, 5 pm, at The Lodge at Leatham Smith. To reserve one of the 100 available seats, veterans should reply by Sept. 21 to Megan Dietz at [email protected] or 920.743.2869, ext. 101.

Now in its 28th year, DCHH is working to expand its programming to include more assistance for veterans through home-repair and home-build programs. The organization has completed three home repairs for veterans during the past few years and is always looking to assist more. Veterans who are not homeowners may also apply for the home-ownership program.
