Six Weeks Until the Door County Half Marathon & Nicolet Bay 5K

The snow is melting (knock on wood), and spring is fighting its way back into our lives, which means the Door County Half Marathon isn’t far behind.

There are just six weeks until the 2,000-plus runners of the Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5K toe the starting line in Peninsula State Park on Saturday, May 6, and there’s still time for you to join them.

Registration fees increase April 1 for both the half marathon and 5K distances. For the long-distance runner, the half marathon presents a beautiful, closed-road course through the trees, along the shore and atop the bluffs on Skyline Road. Amazing volunteers at eight aid stations will support runners as they make their way through a course of unparalleled natural beauty. Runners all receive a long-sleeved race shirt, and at the finish line, all half marathoners will receive an awesome finisher’s medal before heading to the concourse at Nicolet Beach for a free beer from One Barrel Brewing Co., live music and a celebration with a couple thousand new running friends.

The 5K participants get great race perks as well: a great race T-shirt and all those post-run party perks, but with 10 fewer miles and no hills!

Ride the free shuttles to the starting line; enjoy the late 10 am start that allows you to have a little fun Friday night; and take on your spring challenge at the Door County Half Marathon or Nicolet Bay 5K on Saturday, May 6. Visit doorcountyhalfmarathon.com to learn more and register.
