Stangers Exhibit at UU Gallery

“Crayons in Cups” by Steven Stanger.

Steven and Arlene Stanger of Baileys Harbor will exhibit their photography at the UU Gallery in September.

Steve has an eye for design, manipulating his camera for effects. Stanger states, “I enjoy capturing small, intimate sections of the subject matter I photograph. My photography generally results in an abstract rendering of the scene. These abstract renderings accentuate the inherent interest that form, shape, lines, angles and tonal quality project, leaving the viewer to contemplate the global composition of the original scene.”

Arlene exhibits both non-digital and digital photographs. She uses a simple Holga camera for the non-digital photography and a Nikon CoolPix for digital imaging.

The Stangers have shown their photography in juried shows in Madison and in Door County at Peninsula School of Art, Miller Art Museum, The Hardy Gallery and they were published in the Pulse’s Hal Grutzmacher Writer’s Expose and Photography Jubilee.
