Steel Pan Concert at Birch Creek

Liam Teague returns to Birch Creek Sept. 1 to present another virtuoso steel pan performance on the Dutton Concert Barn stage. This time, he is bringing members of the Northern Illinois University Steel Band to perform with him. Teague is Professor of Music at Northern Illinois University (NIU) in DeKalb, Ill. He recently received one of the University’s highest honors by being named an NIU Presidential Research, Artistry and Scholarship Professor. It was given in recognition for his artistic achievements, his unique and multi-faceted career path, and his deep impact on steel pan.

The concert begins at 7 pm. Tickets are $29 for adults, $10 for students, and $6 for children 11 and under. Premium seating is also available for $34.
