Strivers Excel Gold Gymnasts Earn Gold

The Door County Strivers Excel Gold gymnastics team earned gold Jan. 22 at the Pink Invitational in Marinette/Menominee. 

Alexa Seyfer-Jimenes earned gold on the floor with a 9.4, gold on beam with a 9.5 and gold in the all-around with a 36.20. She also grabbed a bronze medal on vault with an 8.5. Teammate Shylee Asher earned a gold on vault with an 8.7, bronze on beam with a 9.2 and bronze in the all-around with a 35.05. Amelia Zoschke captured gold on bars with a 8.9, silver in the all-around with a 35.50 and bronze on beam with a score of 9.2.

Level Six gymnasts finished fourth, and the Excel Silver team finished second. 

The Strivers gymnastics team has its next competition Feb. 19 at the Sheboygan YMCA.
