Strivers Gymnasts Medal at YMCA Nationals

The Door County YMCA Strivers gymnastics team participated in the 2016 YMCA Gymnastics Nationals held June 29-July 3 in Long Beach, Calif. The Strivers team had seven girls in the competition. The team returned with 13 individual medals.

Medalists included:

Level 2

• Julia Gregory, senior division: second on vault, bars; fifth on floor; ninth all-around
• Daylia Sund, child division: fifth on vault; tenth all-around

Xcel Gold

• Laci Lautenbach, junior division: eighth on bars
• Katie Peot, senior division: eighth on floor, bars

Reetika Jandu. Submitted.

Level 6

• Reetika Jandu, senior division: fourth all-around; fifth on vault, bars, beam

Great performances were also turned in by level 3 gymnast Chloe Maccaux and level 6 gymnast Emily Ulberg. The Striver Team is coached by Nikki Pollman, Amy Gamble, Mikki Rankin, Gerritt DeJonge and Marissa Blahnik.
