“The Day The Music Died” Tribute on Stage at DCA

Mark Shurilla and The Greatest Hits will present “The Day the Music Died” at the Door Community Auditorium on Saturday, July 4 at 8 pm.

Tribute artist Shurilla has earned fame for performing the music of “Winter Dance Party,” a 1959 tour through the Midwest starring Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, The Big Bopper, and others. His show is in honor of the 50th anniversary of that tour, and the show will feature the hits of Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, the Big Bopper, and other famous recording artists of the era.

Special guest performers include Liam Ford, John Van Thiel, Danny J., Jayne Taylor, and Marvelous Marla.
