‘The Emissary’ Screening Sept. 28

A showing of The Emissary, the first family-friendly, sci-fi epic adventure film shot in Door County, lands at Base Camp Coffee on Sept. 28. Movie-goers can enter a raffle to win a DVD, a spaceship kit, and other movie merchandise. After the show, meet director Tim Erskine, co-producer Holly Erskine and cast members.

When a lone space traveler named Koyper (Peter Ciesla) lands his spaceship in Newport State Park, only to be witnessed by three Door County locals out on a sunset meditation walk, a life-saving and heartwarming adventure begins.

Doors open at 6 pm with the movie starting at 7 pm. Base Camp Coffee is located at 10904 Hwy 42, Sister Bay. Dinner and drinks are available for purchase. Admission to the movie is free.
