Letter to the Editor: The Law-and-Order President

President Trump, at the national convention, claimed he is the law-and-order guy. He has lied so many times we’ve lost count, so how can we believe anything he says?

The policy of law and order apparently does not apply to him or his administration. They went against the law (Hatch Act) by using government properties for their personal political events at taxpayer expense!

Trump feels he is above the law, and rightly so, because most of the Republicans in Congress have enabled him to break the law. He looks like a dictator who doesn’t care how he acts because he knows too many people are afraid of him and will not dispute him. No wonder he adores Vladimir Putin.

Trump has mishandled the pandemic, causing continued confusion with false claims and setting policies of the CDC and FDA for his personal gain, not the welfare of the American public.

Nearly everything he said in his rambling acceptance speech Thursday night is what he claimed in his 2016 speech. How many people have died this year of COVID-19 under his watch? How many people have lost their jobs and their small businesses because of his carelessness about the pandemic?

The American carnage that he complained about in his inaugural speech is what he brought to this country. We can’t live through four more years of it.

Are you better off now than four years ago? Did he make America great again? He did that only for big corporations and millionaires with his 2017 giant tax cut, which blew the national debt to record-high levels.

We need someone who knows how to run a national government for all the people, not just for his rich friends.

Please vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to do what is right for everybody!
