Theatre Lab for Students at Third Avenue Playhouse

Beginning Jan. 22, StageKids offers a theatre lab for middle and high school students. For six weeks, students will meet twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays working with professionals from the Stage Door Theatre Company. Classes will cover acting, musical theatre, scene study, improvisation, and film technique.

The final class on March 1 will be a public performance by lab students performing pieces worked over the course of the six-week lab. This capstone performance is an opportunity for students to share their work with friends, family and TAP company members. The performance will be filmed and all students will receive a copy of the performance.

Sessions are held on Wednesdays from 4 – 6 pm and Saturdays from 12 – 2 pm. Lab instructors include: Robert Boles, Amy Ensign, Spencer Milligan, Ryan Patrick Shaw and James Valcq.
