Tough Loss at Home for Door County Destroyers

On Aug. 6, the Door County Destroyers hosted the Chargers of Milwaukee County. The Destroyers dominated early in the game and went into halftime with a 20-7 lead. In the second half the Chargers fought back to take the lead and hold on to the victory by a score of 21-20. With the loss the Destroyers drop to 5-2 and the Chargers improve to 4-3.
Standout performers of the day: quarterback T.J. Arndt – 14-33 for 168 yards and 1 touchdown; running back TaMar Scott – 59 rushing yards; wide receiver Tristan Wohlrabe-Fritsch – 5 passes for 43 yards, 1 touchdown; wide receiver Andre Wilson – 4 passes for 68 yards; linebacker Chris LeCloux – 6 total tackles, 1 pass deflection; defensive end Adam Brandt – 4 tackles, 2 sacks; cornerback Jake Hall – 2 interceptions; kicker Eric Natwick – 2-3 on field goals and 1-1 on extra points.
