Underwater Inspiration

Base Camp Coffee Bar in Sister Bay is featuring the work of local Baileys Harbor artists, Skye and Peter Ciesla of Bazyli Studio. Their experience as artists range from Skye’s stone and fiber sculpture and Peter’s fashion and costume design. This exhibit focuses on Skye and Peter’s collaborative bead embroidery designs and Peter’s colorful 2D silk collages. The embroidery is inspired by underwater flora, full of texture and color. These framed objects are ornamental, however, can also be worn as jewelry. Peter’s 2D fiber collages show his fascination with butterflies and their colorful schemes.

An artist reception will be held June 20, 5 – 7 pm. The exhibit will run through July 17. Base Camp Coffee Bar is open daily 7:30 am – 4 pm. For more information call 920.854.7894.
