Upcoming Events At Crossroads At Big Creek

The next Crossroads at Big Creek Saturday Science Program will feature comets. On Jan. 13 at 2 pm, families and individuals are invited to attend a demonstration during which the Comet Chef will concoct a frigid comet model. This free program is for all ages and will be held indoors.

Also on Jan. 13 at 7 pm, the Door Peninsula Astronomical Society will hold its monthly viewing night at the Astronomy Campus. Regardless of the weather, planetarium shows will be offered throughout the evening. If the sky is clear there is a possibility of seeing a dim comet in the constellation of Leo.

The Crossroads at Big Creek begins its 2024 lecture series on Jan.18 at 7 pm. Dan Isermann of the Wisconsin Cooperative Fishery Research Unit will present, “A Quest of Nests II: Revisiting Nest Fishing and Smallmouth Bass Recruitment Along the Door Peninsula.”
