Veterans Day Events

Monday, Nov. 9

• Peninsula Symphonic Band performs a Veterans Day Concert as a freewill offering to benefit the Door County Veterans Service Council, 7 pm, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Sturgeon Bay.

Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015

• Southern Door School Eagle Gym, ceremony featuring Korean War veteran Tom Van Lieshout, 9:30 am. After the ceremony, there will be a luncheon for veterans and their family members. The public is encouraged to attend.

• Trueblood Performing Arts Center, Washington Island, featuring Door County Veterans Service Officer Scott McFarlane, 10:30 am. The public is encouraged to attend.

• Algoma Performing Arts Center, the Algoma Community Band under the direction of Tom Mueller will present their annual Veterans Day Concert, 7 pm. Reception with the band and veterans follows the concert.

Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015

• Senior Center, Sturgeon Bay, a Veterans Day Celebration featuring Door County Veterans Service Officer Scott McFarlane and patriotic music by Ken Pollock, 12:15 pm.

Friday, Nov. 13

• Airlifter Brass, a free concert in honor of Veterans Day by the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America, 7 pm, Door Community Auditorium, Fish Creek.
