Viking Voice Staffers Attend Wisconsin Newspaper Awards banquet

The Viking Voice newspaper staff of Gibraltar High School traveled to Madison on Feb. 26 to attend the Wisconsin Newspaper Awards banquet and receive scholarship awards for work done in the 2014-2015 school year. Awards and awardees are: Freedom of Information Award, second place, Chris Mydra; General Reporting, first place, Libby Glabe; Column Writing, first place, Shelby Kahr; Column Writing, second place, Libby Glabe; Column Writing, third place, Evan Board; General Excellence, first place; and $1,000 Branen Family Scholarships will go to Evan Board, Shelby Kahr, Mikayla Kifer, Anna Snell, Makenna Ash and Sheridan Ash.
