Weavers Guild to Hold Workshops and Demonstrations

The Door County Weavers Guild will hold a weaving workshop on Sunday and Monday, May 2 and 3 in the Sister Bay Fire Station. Members of the public are cordially invited to drop in between 11 am – 2 pm, either day, to observe the activities.

Guild members will bring looms and other equipment and will take turns weaving to create mug rugs in a variety of patterns and colors. Guild members will be happy to explain and demonstrate the weaving process for folks who come by.

The Door County Weavers Guild is a 50-plus-year-old organization of handweavers who live all year or part-time in Door County. Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month in the Door County Library in Sturgeon Bay. Membership is open to all weavers or prospective weavers. Interested persons may attend any meeting as a guest.

The Sister Bay Fire Station is located on Mill Road, two blocks east of Highway 42.
