One-Day Workshops and Ongoing Events at Artists Guild

During Thrills on Third on Oct. 26, 9 – 11 am, the first 200 children to the Artists Guild will receive a pumpkin to paint before the parade. Bring a can of food to donate to a local food pantry.

Open Studio Time is scheduled for Mondays and Thursdays from 9:30 am – 5:30 pm. The cost is $20/day or buy four days and get a fifth for free.

Artists can choose to participate in Life Drawing Guild or Clothed Life Drawing Guild. In Clothed Life Drawing Guild, held Mon. 28, 6:15 – 8:15 pm, models will be clothed in an array of costumes, themed each week, to allow artists a new and exciting format to explore the human figure. The cost is $16 per session.

Life Drawing Guild, held Oct. 29, 6:15 – 8:15 pm, offers artists the opportunity to draw from the human figure. The cost is $40/four-week monthly sessions, or $20 each. The November session begins Nov. 5.

Other ongoing programs at Artists Guild include: youth art programs on Oct. 28 for ages 5-8 from 3 – 4:30 pm, Oct. 29 for ages 9-12 from 3:30 – 5:30 pm, and Oct. 31 for ages 13-18 from 3:30 – 5:30 pm; and Bottle & Brush, Oct. 31 from 6 – 8:15 pm.

Artists Guild is pleased to bring Sumi artist Yuming Zhu to Sturgeon Bay for a one-day workshop on Nov. 1 from 10 am – 4 pm. “Golden Leaves” with Yuming Zhu will concentrate on autumn color with traditional brush stroke techniques and contemporary approaches to express the joyful and sentimental feeling of fall.

Beginner to advanced artists are welcome to learn about East Asian watercolor painting. The cost is $110, and the registration deadline is Oct. 28. Students should bring a bag lunch.

On Nov. 2, 9 am – 4 pm, Craig Blietz will lead a Skills Enhancement Studio, and will guide students through various exercises. The cost is $125 per student.
