Weber Announces Candidacy for Circuit Court Judge

On Nov. 9, David L. Weber officially announced his candidacy for Door County Circuit Court Judge, Branch II, in the April 4, 2017 election. Weber has been filling the position since August after being appointed by Gov. Scott Walker on June 30 to fill the bench left empty by the May 11 retirement of Judge Peter Diltz. “Since taking the bench on Aug. 16, I have been presiding over all types of cases in Branch II, including criminal, family, juvenile, and civil,” Weber wrote in announcing his candidacy. “I have mentored with numerous other judges in the 8th judicial district and have gained valuable additional training at the weeklong judicial college in September. My wife Holly and I were born and raised in Door County, and I feel privileged to be serving this community in my capacity as circuit court judge. I hope to continue my service for many years to come.”
