Weekend Recap

It was a windy November weekend, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t enjoy it! Check out what some of the Pulse staff did this weekend.

Alissa Ehmke:

After seeing the winter issue of Door County Living, my mom was in the mood to make Swedish meatballs for our Sunday family dinner. To see the recipe for this Scandinavian staple flip through the latest issue of the magazine.

Sally Slattery:

I indulged in a wine and chocolate pairing at Stone’s Throw Winery, where I learned Lemon Espresso Truffles are surprisingly delicious, especially when washed down with a glass of zin.

It was delicious!

Carol Thompson:

After a day of cooking, laundry and a trip to the good old YMCA, I sat down to begin one of my favorite winter traditions – watching Lonesome Dove. It’s a four-part TV miniseries based on the book by Larry McMurtry with a cast of outstanding actors – Anjelica Huston, Diane Lane, Danny Glover, Robert Duvall, Tommy Lee Jones. I wrapped up part one, and can’t wait to watch more next weekend!
