What’s Not to Love about the Squirrel Nut Zippers?!

C’mon … You remember the Squirrel Nut Zippers’ CD “Hot.” Now see the group live at the DCA Aug. 11.

The quirky, eclectic, nine-piece band Squirrel Nut Zippers will perform at the Door Community Auditorium on Aug. 11, 8 pm. Special guest Sierra Ferrell will open the show. 

The Squirrel Nut Zippers reunited last year to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its album Hot, which launched the hit songs “Hell” and “Put a Lid on It.” A vintage mashup of Delta blues, pop and jazz, the band is often grouped with swing revival bands, but the Zippers are far more unpredictable.

Tickets range from $35 to $59. Advance reservations are recommended and can be made through the auditorium’s box office, 3926 Hwy 42 in Fish Creek. The box office is open 12-5 pm Monday through Friday. Purchase tickets in person, by calling 920.868.2728 or at dcauditorium.org.
