Winter Carnival Brings Icy Fun to Baileys Harbor

Plan on heading to Baileys Harbor on Feb. 5 – 7 for the third annual Winter Carnival, featuring the Door County Pond Hockey Tournament.

Friday night kicks off with live music by Brass Differential at Door County Brewing Co. in the Tap Room at 7 pm.

Saturday morning begins with the 8th Annual Great Waffle Breakfast at the Town Hall from 9 to 11 am to raise money for The Ridges Sanctuary. With your bellies full of waffles, come over to Kangaroo Lake for pond hockey, sled dog rides, bonfire and s’mores, food and drinks and more. The Northern Door Rotary Club’s food stand featuring doughnuts, brats, hot dogs, chili, hot chocolate, cider and coffee from 8 am to 5 pm.

The Baileys Harbor Community Association will have a variety of drinks including soda, water, beer, malted beverages and s’mores kits available at their Snow Bar from 10 am to 4 pm.

The Door County Pond Hockey Tournament is running from 8 am to 4 pm featuring 32 teams playing on 10 rinks.

Parking is available on the roads surrounding Kangaroo Lake’s west side including West Kangaroo Lake Road and Kangaroo Beach Rd. The snowmobile trails are open so hop on the sled and head down there. There will not be any radar runs or time trials this year.

The Logan Creek Sled Dogs will offer rides from 9 to 11 am and 1 to 3 pm on the ice. Come experience a professional working team visiting from Minnesota.

After a long day on the ice, head up to Door County Brewing Co. for live music by Dead Pigeons starting at 7 pm.
