Woodwalk Gallery/Theater Presents Stop In The Name Of Love

Sing-Along Lysistrata/Stop In The Name Of Love is being staged at the Woodwalk Gallery/Theater, with performances Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6 at 7 pm.

The play is an adults-only, “just for the fun of it” combination of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Tony and Tina’s Wedding, and the classic Greek story of Lysistrata. Starring local actors Leif Erickson and Valerie Murre Schlick, with music direction by David Beck, the play also features many other actors in their Door County acting debuts.

With the audience serving as the Greek “chorus,” it’s a chance to sing hits like “Stop In The Name Of Love,” “Baby I Need Your Lovin,” “You Can’t Hurry Love,” and “Don’t You Want Somebody to Love.”

Written just for the occasion and unlikely to ever be seen again, Sing-Along Lysistrata/Stop In The Name Of Love ends with a dance and live band under the center stage disco ball at Woodwalk.

Tickets for the show are $15 and can be reserved by calling 920.868.2912. There is no heat in the Woodwalk Gallery Barn, so dress appropriately for the evening. Drinks and snack food will be available for purchase, and attendees are welcome to bring their own beverages and snacks as well.

Woodwalk Gallery is located at 6746 County Road G, two miles north of Carlsville and five miles south of Egg Harbor just off of Highway 42.
