Three Door County lodging establishments are among a dozen being considered for the cover of the 2016 Wisconsin Lodging Directory.

The Beachfront Inn in Baileys Harbor represents the Lake Michigan side of the peninsula while two Ephraim establishments – the Bay Breeze Resort and the Edgewater Resort – represent the other side.

Winners will be chosen by votes cast on the Wisconsin Lodging Association’s website, wisconsinlodging.org. Voting ends at 11:59 pm on Friday, May 1 and the winner will be announced on May 8.

“I’m not going to lie, we want to win. We want it bad,” said Rachel Willems, director of operations and marketing at the Bay Breeze Resort. “It would be awesome exposure for us. It’s exciting that it’s coming up this year because it’s our 20th anniversary, on May 25, 1995. So it would be kind of nice to have that. But I think it would be great exposure for Door County in general.”

“It would be so good for Door County to have any of the properties on the cover,” said Kate Lindsley, general manager of Edgewater Resort. “Ephraim and Baileys Harbor are special places in the community of Door. I hope one of us can win. Everyone in the community can take a minute out of their day and vote for us or one of the others.”

The non-Door County finalists are Blue Harbor Resort, Sheboygan; Holiday Inn Club Vacation, Lake Geneva; The Geneva Inn; Hotel Marshfield; HotelRED, Madison; Sundara Inn & Spa, Wisconsin Dells; The Edgewater Madison; Osthoff Resort, Elkhart Lake; and Westby House Inn.
