Art Auction a Success

Linden Gallery and Barnsite Gallery express gratitude to Door County for making the recent Earthquake Relief Auction successful. Over 50 works of art from around the country were sold at the auction with proceeds totaling enough to build two to three permanent homes for extended families displaced by last May’s Sichuan earthquake.

The event was attended by representatives from the University of Wisconsin MFA program as well as many of the artists who donated their works.

Central Chinese television also will be airing footage from the event in a documentary highlighting the Linden family and their Cultural Retreat in China’s southeast Himalayas, information on which can be found at http://www.lindens.cn.
