Jacksonport Craft Cottage Gifts currently features original acrylics for barn quilt enthusiasts. With a fascination with the barn quilt movement and a love of painting, Marlee Christians and her sister, LuAnne Runk were inspired to paint the Door County Barn Quilts.

Barns are such a part of Door County family histories and folks enjoy driving through the scenic backroads to see family farms. Barn quilt designs add color and fun to the countryside farms. Every painting has its own identity because the artists add highlights to enhance each barn setting. Christians and Runk pay close attention to detail and create many one-of-a-kind pieces for Jacksonport Craft Cottage Gifts.

These emerging artists started painting early in life but couldn’t find time to keep it up until they retired. Their paintings are available in limited quantities at Jacksonport Craft Cottage Gifts, 6275 Highway 57 in Jacksonport. The shop is open 9 am to 5 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday through April.
