Birch Creek Presents a Free Virtual Christmas Concert

Birch Creek has produced a virtual Christmas concert video with the same superstar Percussion and Symphony faculty members who have traditionally performed live at Birch Creek each December. This one-hour video is free at youtube.com/birchcreekmusic.

Audience favorites feature prominently: Dan Moore playing the marimba in Iowa, and the impeccable sound of the Symphony Birch Creek Brass Quintet recorded at Chicago’s Roosevelt University. The video also goes beyond the traditional Christmas concert with performances by Big Band Jazz faculty members Reggie and Mardra Thomas; Katie Ernst (Jazz I) accompanied by her husband, Chicago saxophonist Dustin Laurenzi; Jodie DeSalvo (Symphony, piano) playing in Florida; and guest artists Cynthia Stiehl, mezzo-soprano, and pianist Colin Welford sharing traditional Christmas hymns.
