Noon Rotary Club Gives Donation to Altrusa Club
The Noon Rotary Club of Sturgeon Bay presented Altrusa Club of Door County with a generous $500 donation at their June 6 luncheon meeting held at the Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club.

Bethany Lutheran Church Now Streaming Services
Bethany Lutheran Church of Ephraim is now streaming its worship services “live” online. The historic streaming of Bethany worship services took place July 28 with visiting pastor Bishop James Justman of the East Central Wisconsin Synod, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Nonprofits Competed in Great Grape Stomp
The old schoolhouse in Carlsville, home of Door Peninsula Winery, was the scene of a heated battle on July 27 between competitors representing four Door County nonprofit organizations in the fourth annual Great Grape Stomp.

Antique Expert Returns to Ephraim
Author and antiques expert Mark F. Moran returns to the Ephraim Village Hall on Aug. 4 from 1 – 5 pm. Last year he appraised more than 60 items. Bring your treasured antique or collectible and find out “What’s it Worth!” The cost for each appraisal is $15 (no more than three items per person).

Summer is racing by, and the animals at the Door County Humane Society are making the most of the warm days. Our dogs run through the kiddie pool in the play yard, while the cats in the colony rooms stretch out lazily on their cat trees to watch birds outside the windows.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3088 will conduct its annual Buddy Poppy drive Friday, Aug. 2, and Saturday, Aug 3, in Sturgeon Bay and Egg Harbor. Funds raised are used to benefit veterans and their families.

The Boys and Girls Club of Door County will set up five lemonade stands throughout Sturgeon Bay on Friday, Aug. 2. Since June, members (ages 6-10) have been planning for the lemonade stands during the Club’s summer program.

On Aug. 2, members of the Boys and Girls Club of Door County will set up five lemonade stands throughout Sturgeon Bay. Stands will be set up at First Merit Bank, Appliances Plus, Door County Traders, Pick N Save and Bay Pharmacy from 11:30 am – 1 pm.
